Popular TikTok creator Cindy of Oshodi has spoken out after an alleged private video of hers surfaced online, sparking widespread discussion across social media platforms.
Naija News reports that the clip, which was said to have appeared on an adult website, quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions. While some users criticised the influencer, others called for understanding and sensitivity regarding the situation.
Addressing the controversy in a video shared on her TikTok page, Cindy clarified that the footage dated back to either 2019 or 2020, a period she described as one of the lowest points in her life.
She issued an apology to her supporters, saying she felt compelled to speak out for those who have continued to stand by her despite the backlash.
“I wasn’t even going to address this, but for the people who genuinely love me no matter what, I’m doing this for you. I’m truly sorry for disappointing you,” she said.
Cindy acknowledged that the incident may have shocked some of her followers, noting that she takes full responsibility while expressing deep regret over her past actions.
“I know some of you didn’t expect this from me. That was 2019/2020. I take full responsibility, and I regret it. But you people can’t really understand what I was going through,” she added.
She further explained that she was financially struggling at the time the video was recorded, suggesting it was a difficult phase in her personal life.
“If I opened a GoFundMe today saying I’m broke, people would laugh. Back then, I didn’t know any better,” she said.
The incident comes shortly after another social media personality, Eniola Fagbemi, known as Sisi Alagbo, also publicly apologized after a similar private video leak drew attention online.
