Fenete dominates Maramba UPND primaries, wins majority of wards!
UPND aspiring parliamentary candidate Evans Fenete has emerged as the dominant contender in the Maramba Constituency primary elections after securing victories in most wards against his rivals.
In Libuyu Ward, Fenete polled 26 votes, ahead of Kaba who received six votes, while Maambo managed one vote.
Fenete also recorded a landslide victory in Mulungushi Ward with 42 votes, while Kaba and Maambo each secured one vote.
However, Mwalibonena Ward was won by Kaba, who garnered 23 votes against Fenete’s seven votes, while Maambo received one vote.
In Maramba Ward, Fenete obtained 26 votes, followed by Maambo with six votes and Kaba with two votes.
Kariba Ward saw Fenete secure another commanding victory after polling 30 votes, while Juliat received five votes and Maambo got one vote.
In Simatobolo Ward, Fenete garnered 20 votes, ahead of Maambo who polled 13 votes, while Kaba failed to register a vote.
Meanwhile, Kaba narrowly edged Fenete in Namatama Ward after securing 16 votes against Fenete’s 14 votes.
Fenete also claimed victory in Nansanzu Ward with 18 votes, followed by Kaba with 11 votes and Maambo with 10 votes.
In Kabila Ward, Maambo emerged victorious with 18 votes, while Fenete and Kaba polled eight and two votes respectively.
Shungu Ward results saw Fenete receive 19 votes, ahead of Maambo with 12 votes and Kaba with one vote.
Meanwhile, in Kasiya Ward, Sydney Mwamba led with 22 votes, while Fenete secured 14 votes. Maambo and Yvonne Kaba did not register any votes.
