1. Our Approach to Artificial Intelligence

AfroXtreme recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in journalism, publishing, research, content production, and digital media.

We may use AI-powered tools as part of our editorial and content-production processes. However, AI is treated as a supporting tool rather than a replacement for human editorial judgment.

Our commitment remains focused on accuracy, transparency, originality, and responsible publishing.

2. How We May Use AI

Depending on the nature of the content and editorial requirements, AI tools may assist with:

  • Research and information organization.
  • Generating ideas and headlines.
  • Content outlining and drafting.
  • Language improvement and proofreading.
  • Summarizing publicly available information.
  • Translation and language assistance.
  • SEO optimization.
  • Identifying potential factual inconsistencies.
  • Formatting and editing content.
  • Generating or enhancing certain visual materials.
  • Other administrative or editorial tasks.

The use of AI may vary from article to article.

3. Human Editorial Oversight

AI-generated or AI-assisted material may be reviewed, edited, fact-checked, and contextualized by a human before publication.

AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or misleading information. For this reason, AfroXtreme does not treat AI-generated output as inherently authoritative.

Where appropriate, our editorial team will verify important factual claims using reliable sources, including official documents, primary sources, reputable publications, expert information, and publicly available records.

4. Accuracy and Fact-Checking

AI assistance does not eliminate AfroXtreme’s responsibility to pursue accurate reporting.

Content that involves significant factual claims may be reviewed against appropriate sources before publication. Particular care may be taken with content involving:

  • Breaking news.
  • Politics and public affairs.
  • Health and medicine.
  • Science and research.
  • Financial information.
  • Legal matters.
  • Public figures.
  • Statistics and data.
  • Claims circulating on social media.

Where an error is identified after publication, AfroXtreme may correct or update the content in accordance with our Corrections Policy.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some content published on AfroXtreme may be produced with substantial assistance from artificial intelligence.

AI assistance does not necessarily mean that an article, image, headline, or other material is entirely generated by AI. Content may involve a combination of human research, reporting, editing, and AI-assisted production.

We aim to ensure that published content provides meaningful value to readers and is not simply generated or republished without appropriate editorial review.

6. Originality and Copyright

AfroXtreme aims to publish original and useful content.

AI tools may assist with content production, but their use does not give AfroXtreme permission to reproduce copyrighted material belonging to third parties.

We will not intentionally use AI to copy or reproduce another publisher’s article, copyrighted work, or proprietary material without appropriate rights or authorization.

Third-party quotations, references, images, trademarks, and other copyrighted materials remain the property of their respective owners.

7. AI-Generated Images and Visual Content

AfroXtreme may use AI tools to create, edit, enhance, or assist with visual content.

Where AI-generated or significantly AI-manipulated imagery could reasonably affect a reader’s understanding of an event or person, appropriate context or disclosure may be provided.

AI-generated visuals should not be interpreted as photographic evidence of a real-world event unless independently verified and clearly identified as such.

8. Synthetic and Manipulated Media

AfroXtreme may report on AI-generated images, videos, audio, deepfakes, synthetic media, and other digitally manipulated content when relevant to a story.

When publishing such material, we aim to provide appropriate context and avoid presenting fabricated or manipulated media as authentic evidence.

Where authenticity cannot be established, we may clearly identify the material as unverified or potentially manipulated.

9. Transparency

We believe readers should be able to understand the general role AI plays in our publishing process.

Not every instance of minor AI assistance, such as spelling correction, formatting, or brainstorming, will necessarily require a disclosure.

However, AfroXtreme may disclose significant AI involvement when it is relevant to understanding how the content was created or when transparency would materially benefit readers.

10. AI and Personal Information

AfroXtreme will take reasonable precautions when using AI tools in connection with editorial and administrative work.

We will avoid unnecessarily submitting confidential or sensitive personal information to AI systems.

The handling of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. AI-Assisted News Reporting

AI tools may assist journalists or editors with organizing information, identifying relevant material, or preparing preliminary drafts.

AI tools do not replace the need for editorial verification, source attribution, or responsible reporting.

Information generated by AI will not automatically be treated as a verified source.

12. Reader Concerns and Corrections

If you believe an AfroXtreme article contains inaccurate information, misleading AI-generated material, improperly presented synthetic media, or another significant editorial issue, we encourage you to contact us.

Please provide:

  • The article title or URL.
  • The specific information you believe is inaccurate or misleading.
  • Supporting evidence or reliable sources, where available.
  • Any additional information that may help our editorial team investigate the concern.

Send correction or AI-related concerns to:

hello@afroxtreme.com

13. Changes to This Policy

AI technology and its role in digital publishing continue to evolve. AfroXtreme may update this policy as our use of AI tools, editorial practices, and applicable requirements change.

Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
